Hatfield House Asian wedding Photography
We've been excited to share this one for a while! How stunning is Hatfield House? The old Palace looks grand both for wedding ceremonies as well as receptions. We had the opportunity to photograph at Hatfield House for Vishal and Priya's Indian Wedding and Reception. Although the weather didn't quite play ball, we made the most of the stunning architecture inside and kept our couple dry.
Here's a selection of images, with a link to the full set of images further below.
"Raj & sharul never missed a moment"
Vishal and I wanted to thank you both from the bottom of our hearts for capturing the memories of our most special day for us. It was brilliant working with you both, not only on Saturday but also during the pre wedding shoot. You both made us feel at ease, which for me is so important as I know how stiff and stressed out I can be!
You managed to capture some AMAZING outdoor photographs despite the worst weather imaginable. You captured the hall perfectly as it looks so different from morning and evening.
All our friends and family were in awe at how you both managed to capture so much especially of all the dance moves at the reception. Many of our friends said ‘every time something happened they were both there, clicking away never missing a moment!
Vishal & Priya
Wedding Photography at hatfield house
We had previously met Priya and Vishal at Priya’s sister’s wedding, and then properly hung out with them at their pre wedding shoot. The shoot really helped us get to know them, what their chemistry was like, and helped us all get comfortable with each other. We also caught a gorgeous sunset!
Then came the big day itself - their Hatfield House wedding. After a 5am wake up call, we got to the venue early to scout for photo opportunities. It was pouring down with rain, so we resorted to our plan B and found some sheltered spots, ensuring the couple stayed dry. After photographing the lively baraat (there were smoke bombs!), we settled into the Hindu ceremony led by Kamal Pandey, with music from Shiv Gopal. The Old Palace offered such a grand setting for a wedding!
The evening was no different. The hall had been turned around and looked like a scene from Harry Potter! Sharul and I divided and conquered, as she photographed the cocktail reception in the Riding School whilst I focussed on capturing all the details in the hall. As the evening progressed, it reminded us of just how much we love shooting weddings. There is so much energy and emotion at such events, with families re-uniting and having so much fun together. Vishal and Priya were super stylish with their choreographed first dance and witty speeches!
We love a good party and ended up staying well into the night - even watching our groom go wild with his friends to the song Migraine Skank!
We had an amazing time shooting an Indian wedding at Hatfield House near Welwyn Garden City, it was the perfect setting for an asian wedding ceremony and reception. If you’re looking for natural documentary photography in London, or anywhere else in the world, then please get in touch. We’d love to be your wedding photographers!
